Window exhibit installation of Dream Cycles: Between Hope & Reality at East Market Chestnut Walk, curated by Sheena Garcia

East Market Chestnut Walk Window Exhibit

Curated by Sheena Garcia in partnership with National Real Estate Advisors and East Market Urban Art Partnerships

Dream Cycles: Between Hope & Reality was a public art exhibition curated by Sheena Garcia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Garcia selected the work of 14 Philadelphia artists to transform the storefront windows of Chestnut Walk, between 11th and 12th Streets, into a walkable open-air gallery. Presented in partnership with East Market, the exhibition explored themes of resilience, justice, identity, and hope, bringing contemporary art into the public realm at a time when traditional galleries were largely inaccessible. As the first exhibition of its kind at Chestnut Walk, Dream Cycles reimagined vacant storefronts as spaces for artistic engagement and community connection.
